The  most important resource that is used in almond production is water from the Sierra Mountain snow pack.  That is why micro sprinklers are used to water and deliver fertilizer to the trees that our farmers grow their almonds.  Reducing the water used in orchards by 60%.

The most abundant resource is the California sunshine and the almonds we sell use that resource to the best of their ability.  While a solar panel array uses that same sunshine to produce the electricity required for the almond production.

 The almonds are grown on trees that also clean another of our worlds greatest resources, the air.  Almond trees utilize Co2 during photosynthesis and convert it into carbohydrates for root and tree growth.  This process takes Co2 out of the air improving air quality.   

Almonds hulls are used for livestock feed.  
While Almond shells are used for livestock bedding and reincorporated into the soil.

 Tree prunings are shredded and reincorporated into the orchard soil to improve soil makeup, and increase carbon stored in soil as organic matter.
